View Full Version : Twin jugs
Sorry if that title was misleading. No, I am not a chic. But I do have one! Does that count?
I'm about a hundred years old, and have been riding motorcycles since they were made out of wood. Well, maybe not that long. I've raced since I was 21. I know, I know, that was a late start. What can I say? The parents swore me off them.
I'm a Ducati man. I bet here, I don't have to explain why. Although over the years I've rarely had more than $27 dollars in the bank, somehow I've managed to race them exclusively since 98. It's all about love.. And considering the $27 dollar dilemma, it's even more about teamwork. I'd be worth nothing on my own.
My family and I are recent transplants to California, from NY. We moved because we hate the sound of car horns. We drove until we couldn't hear them anymore. Funny, we never thought it would be so sunny too ;)
I hope to meet you all sometime soon, as our tally of local friends is still in the building phase. No street bike yet. Actually no house yet either. How the hell do you all afford houses around here!? No worries though, good things will come in time.
Keep the shiney side up ;)

Geez, can't escape from this guy anywhere... :D
Welcome GoGo - I think I've been around here about an hour earlier than you... Eric Gulbransen (GoGo) is probably THE fastest Ducati rider on the West Coast, sponsored by Munroe's in San Francisco. He is the nicest guy you'll ever meet and very humble about his riding. Don't let that fool you - he's a STUD (even sort of looks like an ex-boyband member), his wife turns heads up and down the paddock and he's put together an awesome team at the track to support the missle of a 999R he pilots. I only won the first Open Twins race of the season last year because he wasn't yet on the grid - I pretty much retired when he showed up! At the last race of the season, he went almost FOUR second per lap faster than 2nd place and left everybody for DEAD! Open Twins is now a race for 2nd place...

Always good to see a new Duc Guy onboard, Cool and He is fast.
Hope to see you out on some of the up and coming rides Soon.
In reality it was my grandmother who taught me how to ride, and she's still faster than me! So I don't know what Alex is talking about.
And another thing you should know about Alex........? Although he sounds pretty laid back, he's actually one of the most competitive cats around. If he doesn't decide to beat you, he'll go find someone who wil.
But honestly, there's no one better to get beat by. ;)

Glad you are here - this group LOVES to ride, and laugh - and you are a champ at both...I know this will be a great place for you!:D
For those who don't know or haven't seen GoGo ride - close up - I can vouch for Alex...he is ONE FAST DUDE!!! I remember riding at Loudon NH WAY back in 1999 / 2000, and at the time, GoGo was in NY - and raced up there. He was fast then, and he's fast now. I remember the first bike I saw him race. It was a Ducati 996 that was painted red/white/green in metal flake, and it was awesome. Needless to say, he destroyed the field back East. Now, he's destroying the field in the West - you GO GoGo... Aboard the Munroe Motors Ducati 999R - he is so much faster than the rest of the Open Twins field that it's not even a race any more.
Welcome to Kneeriders.com - your skill, speed, humor, and RACE WEEKEND UPDATES will be a major plus to the group. Glad you are here - see you soon.
