Thanks to everyone who came out and raced last night. It was a GREAT time!!! Lou, som, firemedic, StuntBunny, aussie, RB, and myself showed each other what's up all over the track. Our cheering section, the KneeDancer herself, showed up to cheer and I know she'll be ON the track next time. Thanks Christine for taking photos.:) Louie's 3 boys added to the cheering section, and I wouldn't be surprised to see all 3 of those boys in a kart soon. Louie had a big surprise for RB. AWESOME is all I have to say about it.
Photos to follow tonight or tomorrow. :D

Here are some pictures of the presentation of the awesome gift that Lou presented to RB after the race. Lou said the gift was to comemorate RB's recent podium finish at the AFM races, and to thank him for starting the kneeriders.com site which has brought many people together and has been the reason that so many new friendships have begun...:) I can tell you that RB was completely surprised and totally blown away by the gift, not to mention the thought and work that went into it. Lou - YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
I will let Lou and RB tell you about the artist who created this beautiful piece of work in case you would like to own some of her work, too.

Well yes it's pretty much what KP said, why I did it. I also seen the great picture that was taken by Shutterspeed on RB's first podeom win and thought wow that would be bad ass to have over a fireplace. I had discussed useing the photo with him a few weeks ago's and he was excited as well. I can't wait to hear how he likes it. Well the artist as some of you already know is the Mother of my three Boy's. Anyway these portrats can be made from any photo you have. Here is a link to her site and if your interested contact her. http://www.contemporaryimpressionistartist.com/index.html

Louie,
This was clearly the best RPM GP I've ever been to. Great racing, good friends, and a gift that will be appreciated and cherished for a long time to come... :D
That painting, and the moment that it symbolizes for me (the single best moment that I've EVER had on a race track)...will hold special value and memories for me - forever. I learned a lot at that last race weekend... Leading the race to the halfway point (a first ever for me), and then having to fight back as I was being passed...reaching for something more... Well, it was a real learning moment, and a growth moment for me on the track as well. One that will change my approach to road racing for the long haul. ALL the memories of the decisions, actions, and experiences that I faced and lived that weekend will now be captured with this special reminder. I'll probably stop, and take a serious look at this painting before each racing weekend now. I may even print that photo, and tape it to the inside of my race trailer - to remind me of what it feels like to give 110%, and get rewarded for it...
Louie, once again...THANK YOU for the kind deed, and for a personalized gift - the likes of which is unrivaled in my recent history. You were SO thoughtful to do this, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. I'm humbled by the spirit and action that went into this...and I really don't know what to say...except THANK YOU SO MUCH! ;)
I'm going to the frame shop this week to have the AWESOME painting framed and covered in acrylic for protection. I know it will look good on my office wall, or wherever I wind up hanging it in the house.
I'd also like to thank Michael Chervenak for his outstanding photography skills. The photo that this painting was derived from can be viewed below. THANK YOU MICHAEL!!!
Finally, I'd like to thank Gina Dynes for doing this incredible piece of art work. Without her creativity, skill, and hard work...it could NEVER have happened. I'll be sending her my personal thanks as well, but Lou - please share my "blown away" impression with her work.
For anyone looking for a SUPERB portrait artist... please click the linky below to discover an artist that can create anything you can imagine. WHAT A STAR ARTIST!!! :)
