I'm starting to shop around for a Ducati track bike, and want to educate myself on the differences between Ducati's modern 4-valve superbikes, say 2000 on. Has anyone out there come across some sort of document or web site that lists the changes/differences between the standard 996 and 998 bikes vs. the S bikes, SPS, and R bikes? (999 bikes are a little out of my price range, so don't need info on those bikes.) Thanks!

For those interested in this topic, I finally found a great book on Amazon by Ian Falloon, called "Standard Catalog of Ducati Motorcycles, 1946-2005."
It lists all models, factory specials, R bikes, RS bikes, etc., including descriptions, factory specs, horsepower ratings, quantities sold, etc. For $15.00 it's a really good resource for anyone trying to sort through the Ducati line.
