Fellow Kneeriders,

Having watched the AWESOME MotoGP world championship clinching performance today from Phillip Island...I was so excited to see Valentino Rossi prove once and for all that it really is the RIDER that makes the difference.

In virtually any instance that pits closely matched machinery, increased riding skill will almost always win out over that "few extra horsepower" or whatever else separates the two bikes. It really makes the point that spending time on building skills (rather than getting that extra gadget) is the way to better performance and FAR more enjoyment on any bike!;)

There is nothing like managing a high motorcyle to its best performance, and this is he essence of what "Kneeriding" is all about...

Let's focus on skills, and let the speed come naturally.:p

Hey, if I can get around on my bike, and from what I read KP isn't bad on hers either :), there's no stopping the rest of you guys, no matter what you're riding.

Although I HAVE raced MV1000 John several times, when I was on my last GSXR, and there's just no contest on the straightaway. Sorry. (Of course, I think i'm just blaming the bike because he's a better rider.) (For now.... :p )

James Steichel as a "better" rider than i, he got killed on his Duc 748 this summer, i miss you /James.
Dave was a "better" rider than i, he lost his left leg at the hip this summer, i miss you Dave.
Andy was a "better" rider than i , he lsot his life when his head got crushed under the front ned of a blazer this summer. I miss you Andy.
Better is a relative term on the street. I look at these machines for a moment just before i get on every time, and remember, crippled for life or dead, it would be the same to me in either case, it can happen to me, it can happen to YOU, on the street in particular.
Lets please remember there is a risk reward profile on any action we initiate.
More later, ride safe, ride YOUR ride, live to ride again. :)
