Looks like a great day for an awesome ride...count me in. Let's make it at least 2 laps!

SR - We are DEFINITELY on for Sunday. I spoke to RC51 Dude this evening, and he's riding this Saturday one way or the other. I don't know if any of the Kneeriders are going his way this Saturday, but if we see a separate thread in this Forum for a "Saturday Ride" we'll know! Also, we're going to set up a Saturday ride in the near future in honor of RC51 rejoining the group and making a 100% FAST recovery. By the way, since he's feeling back to 100% - anyone who thought they may take this opportunity to "pass" him, can pretty much forget it...
MV1K - I will DEFINITELY do at least two laps this weekend. The weather is forecast to be 60ish - should be nice! We'll meet at the Corners at 11:00ish, and we'll get riding! I have the route all planned out. We'll do one full lap, then, back out to the store, up over the hill, and back in around the lake. It will be a bit more than 2 full laps, and we'll only travel one stretch twice (and it will be the "best" stretch at that!). We'll stop as we go over the hill on the second lap for fuel, and we'll be all set. Hopefully, we can talk a couple of the other Kneeriders into doing the full trek with us - we're talking some serious twisties THIS week.
BTW - MV1K, I have ordered your clear bra (on Monday), and we should have it here by next week. I also received the Gilles rearsets in Tit finish (GP Shift - finally) for the Ago today - YES! I'm only awaiting the rear hugger (Casoli carbon fiber - painted red/silver to match the bike - should be here on Tuesday of next week). Once that's here, I'm good to go on the innaugural trip on the MV (I already have the clear bra here for that bike, and will apply it soon). I can't wait to get the AGO out - even if we do have to tip toe around...;)

i'm straddling threads here.... i can only ride on one day - saturday OR sunday, because the rear tire on my guzzi can't get replaced before next week some time and there's no way it'll make it through the weekend without incident if i ride both days.... (it's only got about 300 miles left on it, them BAM!)
i'd love to go south on saturday, but i REALLY want to see everyone too and i'm not sure about the turnout expectations for sunday at the corners....
help me make up my mind! saturday or sunday? north or south?

R.I., what size tire is on the Guzzi? I have a like new Metzler, but it's a 190. I also have a couple sets of Dunlop 208 GPs(front & back, back is a 180/17) that you could "have" if needed! Come over early(9:00) and we could have tires swapped by 10:00 at Road Rider!

thanks RC, i appreciate the offer. too bad that rear is a tiny lil' ol' thing. can't WAIT for 180s. hahahahahahaha (maniacal laugh) :) soon.
i'm going to keep trying to get a tire sooner, but at least i'll still be able to ride with you on saturday. RR's excited too - virgin roads for him!

Yes just got in from my second venture out this AM, its cold e-nuff to be umm, COLD!.
Ill be the idiot on the red beemer 1100s, heated grips on high, thermostaticly controlled vest, touring boots and wool socks, gonna be cold and wet, even @ 1100hrs vaca time.
watch the shady side turns, theres ice, that means, cars and trucks that WILL slide, drive, drift into your lane. Thats not even figuring what you might or might not do.
Pls be careful, thi sis less than ideal conditions, not even close.
Otherwise, ill give it a look see from at least the corners.
Not a good day to go out, it can get like this on the curves

I flaked out this morning. The roads were still damp. Riding with damp roads isn't my idea of fun. The roads seem to have dried out a bit around 12-1. I decided to go for it.
Then I got to the I-5/80 interchange....looks like traffic is backed up all the way across the causeway due to the fog. I decided to hang a u-turn.
Another day perhaps.

100 ft visibility all the way from Davis to Winters, then it cleared up, and we had beautiful sunshine. Met up with everybody at corners, but one of the guys I came with needed to take a leak. I told all the kneerider folks we'd catch up, but never did. Were you guys just hauling ass? I thought for sure we'd meet up at the bridge. This was the closest we have come to riding together!
I am glad I went out. The weather around Berryessa was perfect. We had to be careful of the shadows -- the road could still be wet at times. Amazing that we hit dense fog on the way back again.

We had a great ride. It was very cold and foggy getting our of Fairfield. At one point I thought of pulling over to thaw out my right hand (I need some cold weather gloves). I pressed on through. Half way up Wooden Valley the fog cleared and my hands gained some feeling in them. I met up with the rest of the crew at the corners. It was fast in the dry, and we tip toed (as RB would say) in the wet. We made it to the bridge just fine, then John's MV started making a funky noise beneath the fairings. Sounded like a spun bearing. At this point I need to make my way back home. Scappy was waiting for me to come home so we could hang out later on today.
As I made my way back home, I was getting into Fairfield. Just after Oliver Rd on Waterman. I noticed a Honda S2000 coming to a stop in the median in preperation to make a left turn in front of me. I noticed that this lady was not slowing down enough to wait for me to pass her before she made her turn. Right as I was thinking this there she goes, she pulls out right in front of me. I grab a full hand of front brake, and ease on the back brake. The back of the R-1 lifts off the ground and start skipping as the back tire locks up. At this point I figure I can not stop before I hit her, so I better try plan B. I let go of both brakes, push and hard as I can on the left bar and pull on the right. I missed her right rear quater panel by a few inches. Man, Scappy would have killed me if I wadded up her R-1. It just goes to show that anything can happen when you least expect it..... Other than the four wheel monster I had a great time. I'll try to bring Scappy next time so you all can meet her. Cheers, Gino.

I'm kickin' myself now that I hear it was sunny over there.
I do have the next couple of days off...hmmm......

What a great day. The weather from Winters on was CLEAR BLUE SKY, and beautiful - sunny and warm - excellent!:D
What a blast. Other than the MV1K's issue - it was all around good times. I didn't get home until 7:00 - and was FREEZING - like the ride over there today!
I'm so glad that we went today - it seems like the weather always breaks when we get up there (lucky!).;)
