I am just taking a poll of who is going to the MotoGP races at Laguna Seca....I am sure alot of you are, but this way I can expect how many of you to possibly run into out of the 200,000 people that should be shuffling about :D
If I sound a little excited, it is because I am!!!! :p

Yeah baby, I'm excited too!!! Just peed my pants doing so. Anyway, are there plans for Kneeriders to join up, or ride together, down there?
Tom, maybe you should take charge of organizing things (I love to dump responsibility into other people's laps) to make it happen :p .

Depending on where people are staying ( I am staying in downtown Monterey) I would love to get some people for some much kneeded morning breakfast/riding...I usually go south on Hwy 1 towards Big Sur, there is a place that a friend of mine showed me a few years ago..Deegans?? I believe that is the name of it

I have been traveling to Monterey for the motorcycle races for the last 8 years. I am very excited to go to MotoGP this year. Unfortunatly a friend of Scrappy's is having a wedding that weekend. We will be traveling to central Cali for the wedding on Saturday, then we will load up on coffee and drive all night in order to get to the races on time Sunday morning. I may be a zombie during the races on Sunday, but I'll be damned if I am going to miss them. I'll have the VCR set to record the races just in case I am zoning out during any parts of the race.

MV1K and I, and a few others I think, are planning to camp at fernwood grove in big sur, so..... if there are any rides planned down highway 1 - definitely stop by our camp ground (it's right off 1) and pick us up!
I'll have to check with RB regarding the booth schedule, but I think some sort of early morning breakfast ride might be do-able? RB? thoughts, comments?
I'll be riding in from Santa Cruz daily. Just give me a place and we will meet up. :D

Okay, last year was my year down to Laguna Seca superbike races. Is it going to be total mayhem this year compared to it? Should those of us with Gen Admin tickets get there first thing and anchor ourselves to a good place on the corkscrew? Not to be pessimistic (oh okay, it's a built-in characteristic of mine), but I'm already freaking out about sitting on my bike cooking in a traffic jam. Any suggestions from any of you who have been to a big big time event at Laguna?

I'll be staying in Carmel Friday and Sat. night. Hanging at the Kneerider booth off and on during the weekend.
Hitting the town at night. I'll be the one on the red Ducati...... :D

Achilles, you will be fine. Most bikes just pass on the right or left hand side of the cars leading up the hill. It is best to leave early in order to find a good General Admin spot. If you plan on going to the infield to look at the vendors make sure you do this well before one of the main events due to the small amount of people that can fit over the track bridges.
I hope Cannery Row on Saturday night will be better that last year. The cops were out in full force last year. It was kind of lame. It was cool to see the cops towing away cars that were parked in the closed off sections.
